A Newly Designed System for Monitoring Leakage of Dams
Leakage is a common phenomenon in water dams that can have harmful consequences. Therefore, it is necessary to be aware of the cause of leakage and stress changes. Recently, a system has been designed for long-term monitoring of dams, which includes remote monitoring and controlling terminal, level transmitters, and monitoring software. This system is very cost-effective and is used in the firework pipe network, petroleum and chemical, and hydrology applications. Its communication platform is LoRa wireless network and GPRS. A remote monitoring terminal collects data. The collected data is transmitted through a hydrological monitoring system and another remote monitoring terminal, and the (osmometer) intelligent level transmitters do the site measurement work.
How the system works:
Based on the collecting clock set, the main remote monitoring terminal sends an order to the servant device which is another remote monitoring terminal. The servant device then reads the data of (osmometer) intelligent level transmitters and sends this data plus other data about device conditions, battery voltage, etc. back to the mail device. After that, this terminal stays in standby mode with minimal cost.
The main monitoring terminal sends the data to the server and then stays in standby mode. Finally, the server concludes the site leakage level, battery voltage, signal, and temperature.
