An Online System for Monitoring Ecology Flow

To protect the ecological environment of the river and promote scientific, rational, orderly development and sustainable use of water resources, measurements are implemented for rectifying or supervising hydropower stations that do not meet the requirements for ecological flow discharge.

"Eco-flow online monitoring" is a key method for long-term monitoring and management that is important for the competent authorities to keep abreast of the flow discharge of hydropower plants and meet the ecological water requirement of downstream rivers.

Based on the environmental status of ecological flow monitoring, the open channel flow monitoring method is usually applied.

Its data acquisition controller gathers the water flow and level data of the open channel flow meter and transfers this data wirelessly to the monitoring center in combination with the application of the wireless remote monitoring terminal.

Ecological flow monitoring of hydropower plants' discharge is mostly based on the automatic monitoring of water conditions. It can monitor water level and flow, and integrate functions such as rainfall and image monitoring to provide services for water administration, watershed ecological protection, and hydrology and water resources monitoring.

Based on the broad coverage of wireless networks, the system can detect real-time data of multiple monitoring points in a broad range of areas, especially for monitoring applications such as ecological flow, as well as for application scenarios like rural well irrigation.
