Description

Product Overview

The DAT7024 is a versatile CANopen slave unit engineered to generate up to four analog output signals. This advanced device facilitates seamless data transmission via the CANopen protocol. It supports both active and passive current loops up to 20 mA, as well as voltage signals up to 10 V, making it highly adaptable to various industrial applications. Each of the output channels is electrically isolated from the others, ensuring robust protection against ground loops. Additionally, the DAT7024 provides an isolated power source for each channel, specifically designed to power passive current loops. With its compact, self-extinguishing plastic enclosure and DIN rail mounting compatibility, the DAT7024 is both practical and reliable.

Installation Instructions

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of the DAT7024, it should be mounted on a DIN rail in a vertical position. For installations where the cabinet temperature exceeds 45°C and the supply voltage is 20 Vdc, maintain at least 5 mm spacing between adjacent devices. Proper ventilation is crucial, so avoid obstructing the ventilation slits and installing the device above heat-generating equipment. Shielded cables are recommended for signal connections, with the shield grounded appropriately. Avoid installing the device in locations subject to vibrations.

Light Signaling

  • RUN LED (Green):
  • On: Device is operational.
  • Slow Blinking: Device is stopped.
  • Blinking: Device is in pre-operational mode.
  • ERR LED (Red):
  • Off: No error detected.
  • Blinking: Communication error present.

DIP-Switch Configuration

The DAT7024 allows for easy configuration of Node ID and baud rate through its DIP-switch settings. The baud rate can be adjusted from 10 Kbps to 1 Mbps, providing flexibility to suit various network requirements.

Connections and Wiring

The device features removable screw terminals for connecting the CAN network, power supply, and analog outputs. Following the installation instructions and utilizing shielded cables will ensure proper operation and minimize the risk of interference.
