Detection Methods
Through-Beam Type
The through-beam type in the BYD Series can detect opaque materials over a distance of up to 3 meters. This type is best suited for applications requiring precise detection over longer distances.
Diffuse Reflective Type
The diffuse reflective sensors in this series can detect both opaque and translucent materials at a distance of up to 100 mm. This method is ideal for shorter-range applications where direct detection of the object is necessary.
Convergent Reflective Type
The convergent reflective sensors, which can detect objects within a 10 to 50 mm range, offer superior performance in applications where the color of the target might vary. This method ensures detection accuracy, unaffected by the target's color.
Environmental and Mechanical Durability
The BYD Series sensors are designed to operate reliably in challenging environments. They are resistant to vibrations and shocks, withstanding vibration frequencies of 10 to 55 Hz and shocks up to 500 m/s². Additionally, the sensors are protected against water and dust ingress, with selected models achieving an IP64 rating.
