Description
Product Overview
The FM Series digital measure counters from Autonics are designed to provide precise and reliable counting capabilities. These counters can preset a multiple or divisor for each input pulse and display the calculated value in both multiply-mode and divide-mode. With the capability to count at speeds of 1 cps, 30 cps, 300 cps, 2 kcps, and 5 kcps, and the option to display values with a fixed decimal point, these counters are versatile tools for a wide range of industrial applications. The FM Series is available in both 4-digit and 6-digit models, all housed in a standard DIN-sized case measuring W 72 x H 72 mm.
Key Features
- Multiple Counting Modes: The FM Series supports various counting modes, including multiply-mode and divide-mode, allowing for flexible operation tailored to specific requirements.
- Versatile Operation Modes: Users can configure the counters to operate in count-up, count-down, or count-up/down modes, depending on the application.
- Adjustable Counting Speeds: The counters offer five different counting speeds—1 cps, 30 cps, 300 cps, 2 kcps, and 5 kcps—ensuring accurate counting across a wide range of scenarios.
- Parameter Configuration: Easily set input/output operation modes, counting speeds, decimal point locations, and output times (0.01 to 99.99 seconds). You can also select between no-voltage (NPN) and voltage (PNP) inputs.
- Long-Term Memory Protection: The FM Series counters feature 10 years of memory protection using non-volatile semiconductor technology, ensuring data retention even during power failures.
- Flexible Power Supply: These counters operate on a wide power range of 100 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, making them suitable for various industrial environments.
Product Components
- Product Unit: Includes the counter unit and a mounting bracket for easy installation.
- Instruction Manual: Provides detailed instructions on setting up and operating the FM Series counters.
Installation and Operation
The FM Series counters are designed for easy installation, with a compact size and simple panel cut-out dimensions. Once installed, the counters can be configured through the intuitive parameter settings, allowing you to adjust counting modes, speeds, and output times to fit your specific needs.
Power and Memory
The counters require a power supply of 100 - 240 VAC and consume varying power depending on the model and output configuration. Additionally, with non-volatile semiconductor memory, the counters retain settings and data for up to 10 years, ensuring reliable operation without the need for frequent maintenance.
Durability and Environmental Resistance
- Vibration and Shock Resistance: The FM Series counters are built to withstand vibrations and shocks, making them suitable for harsh industrial environments.
- Operating Environment: These counters can operate within a temperature range of -10 to 55 ℃ and a humidity range of 35 to 85 %RH, with storage conditions between -25 to 65 ℃.
- Protection Rating: The counters have an IP20 protection rating for the front part, ensuring they are resistant to dust and light water exposure.
