Ensuring the Presence of Aluminum Closures of Food Containers via Extra Distance Inductive Sensors
Plastic containers of liquid food products are hermetically sealed with aluminum lids at a food-processing factory. Before containers are capped and bulk packed, inline checks confirm that each container has been properly sealed. We need special sensors to detect the aluminum seals on the top of containers and discard any faulty containers.
What type of sensor is the best solution?
Extra Distance inductive sensors are up for this challenge.
Where are these sensors mounted?
Right on the packaging line
The features of these sensors:
• M30-diameter units
• Robust construction
• Chrome-plated brass bodies
• PBTP sensing faces
• Switching frequency: up to 100Hz
• Suitable for fast-moving manufacturing environments (where high-speed detection is demanded)
• Connection to the customer's test equipment: through a flexible PVC-sheathed cable
These sensors work at detection distances up to 40mm. Thus a sensor at the top of the line could detect the caps with no interference.
Note 1: these sensors feature an industry-standard PNP normally-open interface and an integral M12 cable connector, which make their replacement and removal easy.
Note 2: With the superb combination of 40mm detection distance in a single M30-diameter device, customers can now inspect the whole range of containers without the need to adjust the sensor's height between batches.
There is a lot more to know about these sensors. So, check out inductive sensors.
