Flow Meters Applicable in Sewage Treatment Process
The policy of "one decrease, two increases, & three promotions" has been used for some time to protect the environment.
"One decrease" means decreasing pollutant emissions, "two increases" means raising tax incentives and increasing investment in environmental protection. "Three promotions" means sewage metering and is a key link involved in sewage control.
Wastewater treatment is an important issue in environmental protection. There are challenges in this regard:
1. Poor set up environment for the sewage metering point. Some tools are under flooding for a long time so that the control employees can't maintain the tool.
2. The process set up does not fulfill the necessities of the flow meter. It includes:
a. The current flow meters are speed meters that have strict straight pipe necessities generally.
b. The production and domestic water pipelines need uninterrupted transportation. Without metering bypass pipelines, it is impossible to gain regular off-line verification, maintenance of the tool, and excessive accuracy.
c. Since most flow meters are chosen according to the processing pipeline diameter, not the water flow, the meter might run under or over the chosen range for a long time, despite situations that flow in half pipelines.
3. The sewage varies in industries, which include numerous organic and inorganic pollutants, solid-liquid two-phase sewage, etc. It is tough to use the same tool for measurement.
Speed flow meters are recommended according to customers' budgets and sewage characteristics.
Conventional speed flow meters consist of turbine flow meters, electromagnetic flow meters, ultrasonic flow meters, vortex flow meters, etc.
Electromagnetic flow meters have two important features:
(1) The contact elements of the electromagnetic flow meter with the medium are linings and electrodes. Various electrodes and linings can be used to satisfy fulfill various complex running conditions.
(2) The measuring channel of electromagnetic flow meter is a smooth straight pipe without obstructed component that is especially appropriate for measuring a liquid-solid two-phase flow containing solid particles or fibers.
Due to these two features, Electromagnetic flow meters are recommended in speed flow meters.
