Secondary Pressure Standards

Secondary Pressure Standards are instruments that are used to calibrate other pressure instruments, but relies on a more stable primary pressure standard such as a dead weight tester to check that the required level of accuracy is maintained.

For example an electronic pressure calibrator that uses a pressure transducer inside would be classed as a secondary pressure standard because the pressure transducer output characteristics will change over time and use.
