Description

Application

The High Temperature Radar Level Sensor, Micropilot FMR51, is designed for precise level measurement in challenging environments such as high temperature and high-pressure conditions commonly found in the oil & gas and chemical industries. This free space radar sensor provides exceptional reliability through its innovative, patented design. It offers continuous, non-contact level measurement of liquids, pastes, and slurries, unaffected by varying media, temperature fluctuations, gas blankets, or vapors. Remote monitoring and control are possible via the SmartBlue app.

Equipped with a horn antenna, the sensor performs well even under the most extreme conditions.

  • Process Connections: Available in Thread, Tri-Clamp, or flange options.

  • Operating Temperature Range: -196 to +450°C (-321 to +842°F).

  • Operating Pressure Range: -1 to +160bar (-14.5 to +2,320psi).

  • Maximum Measuring Range: Up to 40m (131ft), extendable to 70m (230ft) for enhanced dynamics.

  • Measurement Accuracy: ±2mm.

  • Frequency Band: K-band, 26GHz.

  • Certified for international explosion protection, overfill prevention (WHG), SIL, marine approvals, and includes a 5-point linearity protocol.
