Description
Overview
The Insert Type Electromagnetic Flow Meter MFE600C Series is a state-of-the-art flow measurement instrument designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern industries. This versatile flow meter is ideal for applications in the chemical industry, water supply and drainage systems, and sewage treatment facilities. It combines advanced technology with a robust design to deliver accurate and reliable flow measurements, even in challenging environments.
Key Features
- Easy Installation and Maintenance
The MFE600C can be installed and disassembled under low pressure without stopping the flow, making it perfect for retrofitting existing pipelines and ensuring minimal disruption during maintenance.
- Advanced Excitation Technology
Utilizing low-frequency square wave excitation, this flow meter offers stable zero points, strong anti-interference capabilities, and reliable operation under various conditions.
- Cost Efficiency
Compared to conventional electromagnetic flow meters, the MFE600C offers lower manufacturing and installation costs, making it a cost-effective solution for large-scale applications.
- Two-Way Measurement
Capable of measuring both forward and reverse flows, the MFE600C features low power loss and excellent performance at low flow rates, ensuring consistent and accurate readings.
Working Principle
The MFE600C operates on the principle of Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. When a conductive liquid flows through the flow meter, it generates an electromotive force proportional to the velocity of the liquid, magnetic flux density, and the width of the conductor. This force is detected by electrodes on the tube wall, allowing precise measurement of the flow rate.
Installation Guidelines
To ensure optimal performance, the MFE600C should be installed in a fully filled pipeline, ideally at low points to avoid air pockets. The flow direction must align with the arrow marked on the sensor, and sufficient space should be provided for installation and maintenance. The meter should be installed at a 30° to 45° angle to the horizontal line to minimize the impact of gas within the pipeline.
For accurate readings, the installation must meet specific straight pipe length requirements, especially when installed near valves, elbows, or T-junctions. Following these guidelines will ensure the flow meter delivers high accuracy in various operating conditions.
Electrical Connection
The MFE600C offers both integrated and separated wiring configurations. Depending on the selected output and power supply, specific wiring terminals must be used. For RS485 communication, shielded twisted pair cables are recommended, and power lines should be separated from signal lines to prevent interference. Detailed wiring instructions are provided to ensure a proper setup for your specific application.
Ordering Information
The MFE600C can be customized according to various parameters, including sensor type, pipe diameter, electrode material, rated pressure, and more. It is essential to collect relevant process data before ordering, such as the type of fluid, flow rates, pressure, and temperature. This information will help select the appropriate model and configuration for your application.
