The DAT3580 is a versatile and robust isolated interface converter designed to bridge asynchronous serial communication lines RS232 and RS485 or RS422. This device ensures complete isolation between the power supply and the RS-232 and RS-485/422 serial lines, effectively eliminating potential ground-loop issues. The converter supports both RS-422 full-duplex (4-wire) and RS485 half-duplex (2-wire) operations, with a transmission speed of up to 115.2 Kbps. Notably, the transmission is asynchronous, which means there’s no need for protocol, data format, or baud rate configuration.
