Description
Product Overview
The CX Series counter/timers offer an advanced LCD display, showcasing easily readable white PV characters for clear visibility. The 11-segment display supports the presentation of various alphanumeric characters, facilitating easier status monitoring. Designed with flexibility in mind, these units can operate in either counter or timer mode, adapting to diverse application needs. The compact design, featuring a rear length of only 64.5 mm, ensures that these devices can be installed in spaces with limited room. The CX Series also provides options for selectable voltage input (PNP) / no-voltage input (NPN) or a universal voltage input, catering to a wide range of user requirements.
Display and Interface
The CX Series is equipped with a high-visibility LCD display. The display modes allow users to view both counting values and total values simultaneously. The six-digit display is available in two character sizes, depending on the model—4.1 × 10.1mm for the CX6S and 6.2 × 15.2mm for the CX6M series. The interface is designed for ease of use, enabling quick adjustments and monitoring.
Input and Output Flexibility
The CX Series supports multiple input methods, including selectable voltage input (PNP) or no-voltage input (NPN), as well as free voltage input models. This flexibility ensures compatibility with various signal types and applications. Additionally, the series offers a variety of output modes, including one-shot and retained outputs, with a wide time setting range from 0.01 seconds to 99.99 hours.
Compact Design
With a back length of just 64.5 mm, the CX Series counters/timers are designed to save space. This compact form factor allows for installation in environments where space is at a premium, without sacrificing functionality or visibility.
Memory Retention and Protection
The CX Series features non-volatile memory with an estimated retention period of approximately 10 years. This ensures that data is preserved even in the event of a power failure. The units are also designed with robust noise immunity and vibration resistance, making them suitable for use in challenging industrial environments.
Configuration and Functionality
The CX Series offers a wide range of configuration options, including various counting modes such as UP, DOWN, and UP/DOWN. Users can easily set start points, reset values, and scale adjustments according to their specific needs. Timer modes include On-Delay, Off-Delay, and Interval, among others. The zero blanking display feature eliminates unnecessary leading zeros for a cleaner visual presentation.
Prescale and Start Point Functions
The CX Series includes a prescale function that allows users to set and display calculated units for physical measurements such as length, liquid volume, or position. This feature is particularly useful in applications like conveyor belt positioning or liquid measurement, where precise control is critical. The start point function enables users to set an initial value for counting, which is reset upon pressing the reset key.
Environmental and Mechanical Durability
The CX Series counters/timers are built to withstand harsh environments. They can operate within a temperature range of -10 to 55℃ and can be stored in conditions ranging from -25 to 65℃. The units are also designed to tolerate high levels of humidity, with an operational range of 35% to 85% RH. Mechanically, the devices are rated for a relay life cycle of up to 5,000,000 operations, ensuring long-term reliability.
