The Autonics cross-beam area sensor BWC40-04H has 40 mm optical axis pitch. The maximum sensing range of this cross beam area sensor is 7 meters, and the minimum sensing range is 1 meters.To find the object, it uses through beam sensing technology. Most of the material used as the sensing target for this product is opaque. There are 4 optical axes in this product. This product's power supply ranges from 12 to 24 VDC and has a maximum current consumption of 100 mA, making it an excellent choice for use with programmable logic controllers.

The BWC40-04H is a high quality product which uses infrared LED of 850nm for transmission.

Cross-Beam Area Sensors

The Autonics BWC series cross-beam type area sensors utilize a 3-point cross-beam method detection to minimize non-detection area and provide reliable detection. 14 different configurations are available based on the number of optics, optical pitch, and detection area size. The sensors provide reliable detection even in areas with high ambient lighting, up to 100,000 lux. Also, the self-diagnosis output function minimizes detection error from dust or debris.
