Description

Application

The Soliwave FDR57 microwave barrier transceiver operates using a non-contact method to detect point levels and monitor bulk flow (flow/no flow, trend). It is well-suited for detecting and counting objects, analyzing deposits, and overseeing filling processes and material transfer points. The device can be easily installed in various locations, such as containers, pipelines, hoppers, filling stations, shafts, filters, or free fall chutes. Measurement through non-metallic container walls is possible from the exterior.

Key features include:

  • Non-contact, wear-free limit detection (min/max) and flow monitoring for bulk solids.
  • Detection, counting, and positioning of objects.
  • Detection and analysis of deposits and contamination in filters.
  • Monitoring of filling processes and material transfer points.
  • Suitable for high-temperature applications up to 450°C (842°F).
  • Supports high-pressure applications up to 20 bar (290 psi).
  • Certified for international explosion protection standards.

Benefits

  • Easy installation using R 1½, 1½ NPT thread, or G 1½ connections (with lock nut).
  • Durable mechanical design ensures long-term cost savings: no wear and tear, optional ceramic sensor diaphragm for process-wetted applications, maintenance-free with extended service life.
  • Mechanically compatible with FQR50/FDR50 and FQR56/FDR56 models, enabling reuse of existing process connections and accessories like adapter flanges, installation brackets, and sight glasses.
  • Enhanced safety in point level monitoring with optional integrated bulk flow monitoring.
  • Reliable performance with minimal dependence on process conditions.
  • Effective even in challenging applications where other measurement techniques may not succeed.
  • Simple and efficient operation using the Nivotester FTR525 with a graphical display, reducing both setup time and costs.
