Pressure Sensors for Regulating Pressure in Coffee Machines
A Bean-to-cup coffee machines is a device that produces a variety of coffees fully automatically. A fully automatic machine basically consists of a blender, an instant water heater, a pump and a brewing assembly.
Pressure is a key matter in the process of making an aromatic coffee; within the brewing assembly, a specific pressure is used in most bean-to-cup machines. To create this pressure, it is essential that the built-in pump transporting hot water into the brewing chamber makes a high pressure itself because the pressure decreases during the process. To secure this system, it is crucial to use special sensors. The sensors not only measure the steam pressure, but also regulate the water temperature. Furthermore, such a sensor is needed to inhibit overpressure. In case of overpressure, a valve is switched to let the steam escape.
Sourced pressure transducers are designed for this purpose. In addition to the pressures described above, these pressure transducers also measure and control the temperature of the heated milk.
