Description

Application

The Micropilot FMR54 is engineered for high-temperature and high-pressure environments, making it ideal for demanding applications. Its specialized planar antenna is particularly effective for use in stilling wells. The FMR54 utilizes free space radar technology for continuous, non-contact level measurement of liquids, pastes, and slurries, unaffected by variations in media, temperature fluctuations, gas blankets, or vapors.

It offers two antenna options: a horn antenna or a planar antenna, both optimized for stilling well applications.

  • Process Connection: Flange
  • Temperature Range: -196 to +400°C (-76 to +752°F)
  • Pressure Range: -1 to +160bar (-14.5 to +2,320psi)
  • Maximum Measuring Range: 20m (66ft)
  • Accuracy: ±6mm
  • C-band Frequency: 6GHz

The sensor is equipped with international explosion protection certifications, overfill prevention (WHG), SIL, and a 5-point linearity protocol.

Benefits

  • High Safety Standards: Hardware and software are developed according to IEC 61508 standards, achieving SIL3 safety integrity in homogeneous redundancy.
  • Efficient Data Management: The HistoROM data management concept ensures fast and straightforward commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostics.
  • Reliable Performance: Multi-Echo Tracking evaluation guarantees high reliability even in vessels with obstructions.
  • Adaptability: Delivers accurate measurements regardless of changing product and process conditions.
  • Cost-Effective Operations: Heartbeat Technology supports economical and secure plant operation throughout the sensor's entire life cycle.
  • Easy Integration: Seamless integration with control or asset management systems, featuring a user-friendly, menu-guided interface for on-site or remote operation.
  • Simplified Compliance: The world's most straightforward proof test concept for SIL and WHG compliance, saving both time and costs.
