Description

Application

The Micropilot FMR53 is ideal for straightforward liquid level measurement tasks, featuring a slim rod antenna that makes it perfect for applications with limited space for process connections. The rod antenna’s PTFE coating and flange plating ensure excellent resistance, even in chemically aggressive environments. This free space radar device is designed for continuous, non-contact level measurement of liquids, pastes, and slurries. It remains unaffected by variations in media properties, temperature fluctuations, gas layers, or vapors.

Key Features:

  • Ideal for compact process connections; compatible with chemically aggressive media thanks to the PTFE coating.
  • Process Connections: Available with threaded or flanged options.
  • Temperature Range: -40 to +150°C (-40 to +302°F).
  • Pressure Range: -1 to +40 bar (-14.5 to +580 psi).
  • Maximum Measuring Range: Up to 20 meters (66 feet).
  • Accuracy: ±6 mm.
  • Frequency Band: C-band, operating at 6 GHz.
  • Certified for international explosion protection, overfill prevention (WHG), and SIL, with a 5-point linearity protocol.

Benefits

  • Consistent and Reliable Measurement: Delivers precise, non-contact level measurement even under varying product and process conditions.
  • Efficient Data Management: The HistoROM data management concept simplifies commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostics.
  • Advanced Signal Processing: New Multi-Echo Tracking technology ensures dependable measurement, even with obstructions in the vessel.
  • Safety and Compliance: Developed in line with IEC 61508 standards, supporting up to SIL3 safety integrity level (in homogeneous redundancy).
  • Enhanced Operational Efficiency: Heartbeat Technology supports cost-effective and safe plant operation throughout the equipment’s lifecycle.
  • Seamless System Integration: Offers easy integration into control or asset management systems, with an intuitive, menu-driven operation available both on-site and via control systems.
  • Simplified Proof Testing: The world’s most straightforward proof test concept for SIL and WHG, saving both time and costs.
