The Autonics proximity sensor PFI25-8AC features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Autonics. This sensor comes in a rectangular shape, sensing distance of 8mm, sensing side diameter and frame size 25mm and rectangular installation. The standard Flat inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body
This Autonics proximity sensor's case and nut parts are made of Poly Phenylene Sulfide.

Connection
The Autonics PFI Series proximity sensor PFI25-8AC features standard cable type connection. This black cable covers the sensor's 2 wires. It is 4 mm in diameter and 2 meters in length.
Sensing specifications
This inductive sensor's frame size diameter is 25 mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target, which is a 25x25x1 mm piece of iron, is 8 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc.
Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it is a big deal to know this concept. Every sensor can detect its standard sensing target in a specified range, no matter what changes occur in ambient temperature, voltage fluctuations, etc. This distance, which is called the setting distance, is from 0 to 5.6 mm for this proximity sensor.
