Special Data Loggers for Open-Pit Mines
In some open-pit mines (including some diamond mines) it is necessary to dig wells to prevent mine flooding and it is also necessary to constantly check the temperature and water level of these wells to ensure proper dewatering. The environment of such mines can be very challenging and harsh. For example, the environment temperature can be very low.
Special data loggers for open-pit mines:
Water pumping is part of the open-pit mining process. Special data loggers are designed to measure water temperature and pressure during long periods of time. These data loggers are actually sensors equipped with batteries that are placed in stainless steel enclosures with very small diameters (about 16 mm). The data recorded by these sensors can be converted to level figures and graphs. These level sensors have very low error bands and can be used at a depth of 200-300 meters underground.
