Governor system problems in hydropower stations:
In old hydropower stations, the governor of water turbines is a mechanical hydraulic type. Such an oil-hydraulic system is a source of power for automatically adjusting the speed of the water turbine assembly and its on-off service operation. Due to the weakness in automatic control and the existence of long service, the governor system repeatedly fails in effectively regulating rotate speed of hydro turbines generating set and the power output.
