They provide continuous high-speed sensing over the whole conveyor's width. These sensors are individually shielded and EMC immune thanks to best-practice electrical design. This electrical design prevents interference while numerous instruments are operating close together.
These devices are mounted a few millimeters from the target as it passes above. They provide analog output signals that change depending on the material.
When non-ferrous material enters the separator, the IO-Link connection offers an industry-standard interface to the machine control system, activating the appropriate air knives.
Calibration:
During initial calibration, sensor configuration is saved automatically on the local IO-Link Master; this allows plug-and-play replacement of sensors without any loss of functionality and the demand for recalibration.
Data storage:
Inductive smart sensors' onboard data storage contains accumulated working data for user-specific aims, including predictive maintenance.
